The designer’s initial idea was to make a contemporary shelf, but it seemed a shame to put anything on it. Clearly, it is a piece of hand carved sculpture. This dilemma, and the choice of what to put on it, is left to the new owner. It conjures images of speed, celestial bodies and cosmic forces. One could imagine riding on it through space so it has been named “Sonic Surfer”.
